1Reel Slots Glossary

34 terms covering progressive counters, Wild Accelerator, Collect mechanic, and the path to 500x. Specific to Spinomenal's single-reel architecture.

Autoplay

1Reel Slots's auto-spin loop. Set 10-1,000 spins with optional stop conditions (loss limit, single-win threshold, Collect trigger). Useful for sessions where you want manual control over Collect timing — set autoplay to stop after each Collect so you can decide whether to keep going.

Base Game

1Reel Slots's only mode — there's no separate bonus round. The entire game runs on the base reel with three progressive counters building until Collect lands or Wilds accelerate them. Unusual design among modern slots.

Bonus Buy

1Reel Slots's direct feature purchase on supported variants. Cost: 100x bet for pre-charged counters. Bonus buy is restricted in UK (banned since October 2021), Sweden (bet caps), Ontario (regulated). Check the in-game menu — if the buy button is missing, your jurisdiction blocks it.

Cascading Reels

1Reel Slots doesn't use cascades. Each spin is independent — symbols don't tumble or replace. Sweet Bonanza, Reactoonz, and Bonanza-clones use cascades; 1Reel's single-reel architecture makes them irrelevant.

Cluster Pays

1Reel Slots doesn't use cluster pays — there's only one reel position, so symbols can't form clusters. Payouts come from counter accumulation, not grouped symbols.

Collect Symbol

1Reel Slots's round-ending symbol. When Collect lands, the game pays out the HIGHEST current counter × your bet, then resets all three counters. Collect hits roughly 1 in 11 spins. Random — you can't influence its timing.

Counter Levels

1Reel Slots's 5-tier multiplier ladder per symbol. Each paying symbol has Level 1 through Level 5. Landing the symbol advances its counter by one level. Reaching Level 5 unlocks the symbol's peak multiplier. Some 1Reel variants reach 500x at Level 5 of the top symbol; others cap lower.

Counter Reset

1Reel Slots's post-Collect state. When Collect lands, ALL three counters reset to zero — not just the one that paid. Counters don't persist between rounds. This is why timing Collect matters more than building a single counter to max.

Dead Spin

1Reel Slots's no-progress outcome. The reel lands on a blank or non-counter-advancing position. Dead spins don't reset counters but waste your stake. Roughly 35-45% of spins are dead, depending on variant. Normal at medium-high volatility.

Feature Buy

1Reel Slots's alternative term for Bonus Buy. Same mechanic — pre-charges counters at 100x bet cost. RTP holds at ~95.42% on the buy. Use only if your bankroll can absorb the variance of a single buy returning below cost.

Free Spins

1Reel Slots doesn't use traditional Free Spins. The progressive counter mechanic replaces a separate bonus round — instead of triggering a free-spins mode, you keep playing the base game and Wilds compound counter progress.

Hit Frequency

1Reel Slots's paying-symbol rate. Roughly 1 in 3-4 spins lands a paying symbol that advances a counter. Wild spins (~1 in 9) advance all three. Collect (~1 in 11) ends the round. Combined "something useful happens" rate is roughly 50-55%.

House Edge

1Reel Slots's mathematical edge: 100% - 95.42% = ~4.58%. Standard for medium-high-volatility slots. The edge is distributed across all Collect outcomes — early Collects lock in safer payouts; deep waits chase higher counters but risk dead-spin Collects.

Lightning Multipliers

1Reel Slots doesn't use Lightning Multipliers — those are Evolution table-game features (Lightning Roulette, Lightning Bac Bo). 1Reel uses persistent counter levels instead of randomly-struck multipliers.

Max Win

1Reel Slots's 500x cap per Collect. Reached when Collect lands while the top-tier symbol is at Level 5 (or another symbol matches that ceiling on themed variants). Theoretical — most sessions never approach it. Wild-dense runs are the only realistic path.

Megaways

1Reel Slots doesn't use Megaways — it's the opposite design. Megaways uses variable symbols per reel with 117,649 ways to win. 1Reel uses one reel with three counters. Polar opposite philosophies.

Multiplier

1Reel Slots's per-counter value. Each symbol's counter holds a multiplier that scales with its level. Premium symbols carry larger multipliers than mid/low tiers. Collect pays the highest current counter × bet — not the sum across all three.

Paylines

1Reel Slots has no paylines in the traditional sense — "Progressive Counters" describes the mechanic. There's only one position per spin. Wins come from accumulated counters at Collect, not from symbols aligning across reels.

Paytable

1Reel Slots's reference chart shows what each symbol pays at each counter level. Access through the game's info menu. Premium symbols start higher and cap higher; low-tier symbols build faster but pay less at max. Card symbols (10-A) typically aren't used — themed icons replace them.

Progressive Counters

1Reel Slots's headline mechanic. Three counters, one per paying symbol. Each climbs independently when its symbol lands. Wild advances all three. Counters persist within a round and reset on Collect. This is the entire game.

RNG

1Reel Slots uses certified Random Number Generator. Each spin outcome (which symbol lands, whether Wild or Collect appears) is independent. Past spins don't predict future ones. No 1Reel slot is "due" for a Wild or Collect.

RTP

1Reel Slots returns 95.42% on the default variant. Some operators run lower RTP versions (94.42%, 92.42% reported on some titles) — always check the in-game info panel before committing real money. Bonus buy preserves base RTP on most variants.

Scatter

1Reel Slots doesn't use traditional scatters. The Wild plays the multi-purpose special role — it advances all counters instead of triggering a separate feature. A few themed variants in the 49-game library layer scatter-style mini-features on top.

Session Variance

1Reel Slots's session-to-session swing. Over 500 spins at 95.42% RTP, expected return is ~477 units per 500 wagered. Actual results typically land 40%-180% of wager depending on Collect timing and Wild luck.

Single Reel

1Reel Slots's defining trait. One position per spin instead of 3, 5, or 6 reels. No paylines, no grids, no cluster mechanics. The simplest slot architecture on the market — which is also what makes the counter system feel deeper than it looks.

Sticky Wild

1Reel Slots doesn't use Sticky Wilds. Wilds in 1Reel are one-shot — they advance all counters on the spin they land, then disappear. The counters themselves are sticky (persist across spins), not the Wild symbol.

Symbol Tiers

1Reel Slots's three paying symbols split into Premium / Mid / Low tiers per variant. Premium symbols start with higher Level 1 multipliers and reach larger Level 5 ceilings. Mid sits in the middle. Low builds the fastest but pays the least at max — useful for grinding but unlikely to hit the 500x cap.

Themed Variants

1Reel Slots ships in 49 themes: mythology (Aztec, Greek, Norse), animals (Buffalo, Gorilla, Panther), fantasy (Fairy Tales, Wonderland), holidays (Christmas, Halloween, Easter), more. Core mechanic is identical across all — only symbols and visuals change. Some themes have slight RTP variations.

Tie Bet

1Reel Slots doesn't have a Tie bet — that's baccarat. The closest concept is the all-or-nothing Collect resolution: counter value or nothing.

Top Slot

1Reel Slots doesn't use Top Slot mechanics (those are Crazy Time, Monopoly Live features). Multipliers in 1Reel live in the counters, not in a pre-spin reel above the main one.

Volatility

1Reel Slots is rated Medium-High. Counters can climb slowly between Wilds; Wild-dense sessions produce outsized swings. Most 100-spin sessions stay within ±50% of expected return. Variance comes from when Collect lands relative to counter state, not from individual spin payouts.

Ways to Win

1Reel Slots doesn't use ways-to-win. With one reel, there are no "ways" — there's one position and three counters. Wins come from counter level at Collect, period.

Wild Accelerator

1Reel Slots's Wild symbol function. Advances all three counters by +1 level in a single spin. Lands roughly 1 in 9 spins. Multiple Wilds before Collect stack additively — three Wilds = three levels of progression on every counter. Wild timing is the difference between a 50x and a 500x session.

Win Distribution

1Reel Slots's payout shape. Top-heavy — most Collects pay 10x-50x, but rare Wild-dense sessions reach 100x-500x. The 500x ceiling shows up in roughly 1 in millions of spins. Average session covers partial costs; occasional outliers carry the math model.
